Dana Floro is Director of Operations for the San Mateo County Health Foundation. She was born in the Philippines and spent most of her childhood in Burlingame. After attending college in Manila, she returned to Burlingame to raise her 3 children and became deeply involved in the community through school events and fundraising. Dana worked for Visa Inc for almost two decades, where she held roles in client services, human resources and global sponsorship and events management, creating programs for the Winter and Summer Olympics, NFL Super Bowl, FIFA World Cup and other large-scale projects. She was also a Development Specialist for a Marin-based non-profit organization that partners with people with disabilities on their path to independence. During the pandemic, she started a small business doing florals, and she continues to design and create arrangements on the side. Dana is honored to be part of the SMCHF team, working with staff at San Mateo Medical Center and our community of donors, sponsors, and partners to change thousands of patients’ lives, providing access to quality healthcare for everyone and giving so many a chance to thrive.
