Healthcare Heroes & HAPPY

Healthcare Heroes is an employee-run committee of the San Mateo County Health Foundation.

Their mission is to enhance work lives through an employee-funded, sustainable financial source. This resource enables the development of impactful materials and programs that extend beyond the capabilities of traditional county resources, fostering an enriched work-life experience.

Introducing HAPPY: Hero Appreciation Party Program Yearly

This once-a-year party program is funded by the Healthcare Hero Fund and is designed to celebrate our extraordinary healthcare heroes.

To be eligible for the HAPPY program, your department needs to meet the following criteria: At least 60% of the overall department’s employees must contribute a minimum of $2.50 per pay period to the Healthcare Hero Fund. The form must be submitted to the SMCHF office no later than 30 business days prior to the requested party date.

Once the criteria are met and the application is approved, your department will receive a budget of $20 per person for the party.
