Join us in giving frontline heroes experiencing acute stress a boost by supporting the Healing Our Healthcare Heroes program. When an employee gives, it sends an important endorsement to the community that those who work at the Medical Center take pride in what is accomplished there every day. The program has been a great way to increase morale for both employees and patients alike. If you wish to participate, click the button below and fill out the form.
San Mateo County Health Foundation is honored to partner with the 1440 Foundation to provide a complementary two-part healing program to frontliners impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. Part 1 will take place over 3 days at the 501(c)(3) nonprofit 1440 Multiversity campus nestled among the Santa Cruz mountains. After Part 1, all participants will receive an additional year of support and tools courtesy of our friends at 1440.
Part 1 provides healthcare workers access to information, skills, and tools to help care for their own mental health, support their families, and help their colleagues. Daily faculty content sessions focus on topics born out of significant healthcare provider concerns:
Upon leaving campus, participants will have the opportunity to further their learning in a supportive online community. Examples of the curriculum and learning tools include webinar and podcast series from accredited experts, mindfulness apps to help stay centered, and Healthcare Conference access. 1440 will continue to develop the online curricula based on the needs that arise both from the program and global conditions that are impacting healthcare workers.
Through a generous grant from Sutter Health and 1440 Multiversity, we were able to secure a limited number of spots for SMMC staff to attend the June 2023 session. However, this is only partial funding, and we need to raise the remainder of the cost. You can help us fund the program by clicking Donate to Support HOHH at the top of this page. No amount is too small. We also encourage you to return to this page to receive updates on how the program is going or use the email newsletter signup link at the bottom of our website.
