Food Farmacy provides groceries to patients and families experiencing food insecurity, supporting health beyond prescriptions. Each week, hundreds of households receive boxes filled with produce, protein, and pantry staples to help manage chronic conditions and improve overall well-being. By increasing access to nutritious food, we strengthen health outcomes across our community.
How It Works
In partnership with The Samaritan House, the Foundation distributes nearly 1,100 food packages every week. No registration required – patients can come to their assigned San Mateo Medical Center clinic on Mondays. Distribution times may vary, so please call your clinic for more information.
This reliable support helps patients stay nourished, stable, and better able to manage their health.
