On December 9, 2021, San Mateo Medical Center held a grand opening of their Physical Rehabilitation Gym, funded by San Mateo County Health Foundation through donations from the community. The event was attended by SMCHF donors, board members, and hospital staff. The center offers patients a variety of rehabilitation services with a goal of bringing people to their highest level of practical functioning through efficient delivery of evidenced based interdisciplinary practices. The new space features wide walkways and a better equipped wheelchair accessible audiology room. SMCHF is proud that we could play a part in opening this brand-new gym.
